Amino’s methodologies are focused on guiding members to the most experienced, highest-quality, most cost-effective providers (based on the care needed). Additionally, if a client offers point solutions to their members (such as virtual care programs, condition-specific services, and traditional hospital or clinic-based care), we ensure that those solutions are provided as leading options for care.
Amino guides members to providers and facilities based on:
- Relevance for the care need searched
- Network status, which by default guides to in-network providers and, if applicable, tier 1 or preferred providers
- Access, which takes into account the member’s search location and density of available options to dynamically determine the geographic radius for inclusion
- Quality, which measures the provider’s experience and the appropriateness of the care they provide. Quality also accounts for the quality of affiliated providers for facility results
- Cost effectiveness based on reimbursement rates relative to other relevant, in-network providers.
