Amino is committed to helping our members navigate the American healthcare system during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beginning the week of March 9, 2020, our member support team became aware firsthand of nationwide disruptions to business operations for many types of health care providers due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the United States. These changes included reduced availability of providers for non-essential healthcare services, changes to office hours, office closures, and unusual delays speaking to provider offices on the phone. Availability and business operations of health care providers are changing rapidly as the outbreak unfolds.
In response to these changes, Amino's booking operations team is following the lead of provider offices and asking coronavirus exposure screening questions to determine appropriate timing and location of care for members. Amino's ability to confirm appointment availability may be disrupted during this time.
Our team is maintaining a directory of state and regional government health authorities responsible for coordinating local responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will augment this directory with helpful information our team learns as we continue to handle appointment booking requests from members.
